What I Do
I specialize in fabricating a story world with extensive worldbuilding and carrying tones of realism. I always aim to expand any genre of concept with grounded storytelling and worlds. While I bring in the structures of realistic worldbuilding, I avoid limiting the impossible and bizarre, but instead I enjoy working with strange concepts and still being able to give them realistic effects and “lived in” behaviors amongst the worlds I develop.
So far I’ve been able to publish two tabletop rpg supplements for different story settings that appear vastly different in tone and concept, despite being so close within their overall world. These TTRPG’s are both apart of Project: Rapture, a storyworld project that works on developing new and unique story settings for rpg exploration while all being connected to the same fantasy planet and universe.
How I Do It
I am able to accelerate a project’s worldbuilding with my creative writing and concept art, especially as I am keen to working within the lore and setting of a world. In order to create what I do, it all starts with organization and structure, I work with many charts and spreadsheets to begin my own adventure in expanding and detailing worlds from all angles.
When creating a world, there are many aspects that all develop in tandem and all need to be accounted for to create an intertwined and realistically developed storyworld. Some of these timeline aspects need to include tracked development of:
Food, Travel, Exploration, Foreign Influence, Economy, Science and Technology, Resources, Daily Life, Arts and Literature, Religion, Cities, Philosophy, Government, Politics, War, People and Culture, Geography, Communication and Language, and when applicable the development of Magic! All these lists of aspects of a world are all juggled with affecting the world and each other, which I excel in developing the lore, histories, and worldbuilding of these aspects.
